Monday Afternoon meet: June 20th - 2pm

Hi everyone,

Our next Monday meet will be on June 20th at 2pm. Depending on the weather, we'll either meet up at the Pavilion Gardens in Brighton or a nearby cafe.

Numbers are usually quite low and this may suit some better than the Wednesday evening meet.

This thread will be updated nearer the time when we have a better idea of what the weather's going to be doing. The last meet was very relaxed in the sunshine and thanks to those that attended.

Terribly sorry if this is a stupid question, Pavilion Gardens are quite big so is there a particular part of it that you tend to meet?

Hi Fishe, 

That's not a stupid question at all and I'll be sure to include that information in future.

If it's dry we'll be outside at the Pavilion cafe (The small outdoor cafe on the opposite side of the actual Pavilion. You'll see lots of green chairs  and tables outside a small old building) and if it's raining we'll meet upstairs at Marwood cafe on Ship Street.

Right now, the BBC forecasts rain across Sussex for tomorrow afternoon so watch this space for any updates. The forum phone will be switched on from 1pm so please do feel free to text or call to confirm our location. 

Well, that all sounded rather complicated! It would be good for us to find a simpler system in future so any suggestions regarding a reasonably priced nearby cafe for when it rains would be welcomed.

Well, the latest BBC rain forecast says it should be dry until just after 4pm. It won't be the sunniest meet ever so bring your brollies just in case and if it really rains we'll head to Marwood.

Hi Martin,

I'll try to do it next Monday. The Pavilion's Garden café is lovely place.
Do you know, you were quite right. This is really bad and disgusting to be sacked because of a disability. That day I was so enthusiastic because I felt protected by the law but this is just a metaphysical idea, an empty right. I brought the case to the ET but think it is a nonsense to engage in a legal fight with them having a MH condition.
